This Knowledge Base article describes how the process works when uploading a vehicle for sale onto the TradeMe website.

Setup


Request support team for activation.

Check activation: Sales > Maintenance > System Setup > Online Database (look for "DealerBase/TradeMe Add-on" activated).A screenshot of a computer

Ordering the Vehicle

 

Sales module> Vehicle orders

Select the relevant supplier and click on Insert

On the 'Maintain Stock Purchase Order' page, click "Insert" again to enter your vehicle details.

 

Missing Vehicle Details in 'Add Stock Purchase Order Item' Page?

 

Before uploading to DealerBase/TradeMe, ensure these mandatory fields are completed:

  1. Rego
  2. Year
  3. Make
  4. Model
  5. Type
  6. VIN Number (12 characters)
  7. Accessories/Features
  8. Retail Price. (Adjust the retail price by clicking 'Retail Price Adjustment' button)

Click OK to confirm.


Accept the order by clicking on Accept All. A confirmation message will appear after you confirm by clicking Yes.

To successfully register your vehicle in DealerBase/TradeMe, make sure you upload at least one photo. Go to the Photos tab and click the menu button (three dots) to upload a photo.

Make Item Listing


Make sure the Model 'Keycode' matches the DealerBase Keycode. Orion prioritizes the Keycode field for matching with the DealerBase database. If no match is found, Orion then checks the 'Online Reference' field.



Receive the Order


Receive the order by simply clicking the Receive button. A confirmation page will pop up. Click Yes if you want to make further edits to the item, or No to upload.

Check if the upload is successful


Double-check for any missing vehicle details before pressing OK to confirm.


Verify a successful upload by going to Sales > Misc > Online Database Processing > Dealerbase/TradeMe.

 

For faster lookups, search the Rego in the Search Anywhere field.


Assuming everything is done correctly, the Status column should display Registered. If it shows Failed, check two things: 

  1. Did you add a photo?
  2. Review the previous steps (click on the vehicle name for details) on the DealerBase Page.
