Overview
This feature introduces the ability to assign up to 10 technicians to a single long-duration job in WebWorkshop, without impacting diary performance, technician productivity metrics, or the daily technician view. It is designed to support complex, high-labour jobs that span across multiple days, weeks, or even months — as commonly seen in industries like heavy machinery maintenance and rebuilds.
Activation
This feature requires no activation and is available to all WebWorkshop users by default.
Feature Overview & User Manual
Pre Configuration
All technician-related settings and configurations such as Technician Assignment and Details are managed within ORION.
Go to ORION → Workshop Module → Maintenance → Technician.
Assigning Technicians
From WebWorkshop, navigate to the job where you want to assign multiple technicians.
Click the icon shown in the screenshot to open the "Allocate Technician Hours" pop-up window
To Assign Multiple Technicians
Click on the ‘Add Technician’ Button to generate additional Technician line to select and add technicianBulk Assign to Multi-Day:
Click the ‘Assign Techs’ button to open a pop-up window where you can select one or more technicians. Use the 'Between Dates' option to assign them across multiple days in one action.Bulk SMS Option

Click the arrow buttons to navigate one week backward or forward from the selected date.Select by Day:
The selected date will be highlighted to indicate the chosen day.Estimated Hours per Technician:
Users can manually enter hours to override the estimate or use the +/- buttons to adjust the hours up or down.
Clicking ‘0’ will reset the estimated hours to zero.Technician Capacity and Available Hours:
Estimated hours entered will update and reflect the technician’s capacity, showing the available hours calculated based on today’s total hours set in Technician Availability.
Technician availability can be set either from WebWorkshop or from ORION.
Hours Assigned
The total Estimated Hours is based on the Job’s overall estimate and represents the total time allocated for the job.
Individual estimated hours entered for each technician will accumulate throughout the job’s duration. This cumulative tracking helps monitor the amount of work completed, allowing better management of whether additional time is needed or if the job is progressing on schedule.
When adding new estimated hours by overriding the existing estimate, a warning message will be displayed.
