SalesConnect - Quotes: Create, Send, and Convert Quotes
SalesConnect Quotes brings quote creation, sending, and customer approval into the SalesConnect, so a lead can move straight through to an approved deal without leaving webWorkshop. The workflow follows Lead → Quote → Customer Approval → Deal, cutting out the double handling of building a quote in one place and re-entering it in another.
Key capabilities include:
- Create a Sales Quote directly from a lead on the Lead Board, or from the Quotes menu
- Add Sale Items, Accessories, Trade-ins, Parts, and Charges as quote lines, with fitted accessories automatically creating a service order once the quote converts to a deal
- Send the quote to the customer by email with an Accept / Decline link, with the full communication recorded on the customer's activity history
- Convert an approved quote into a Deal in a single step, carrying the delivery date, department, and salesperson details through automatically

Enhancements
| Issue Key | Module | Description |
|---|---|---|
| WEB-2297 | Customer / Supplier | Notes added on the Customer Maintenance page with the Show notes when new job is created option enabled now pop up automatically when a new job is created in webWorkshop, so important customer information is surfaced at job creation. |
| WEB-2199 | Diary | Blocking out hours for a technician now reduces their available time in the Timeline view, giving a more accurate picture of remaining availability. This applies when the block is recorded against a non-job labour rate linked to Sick, Holiday, Training, or Other; blocking time overrides any manually entered availability. |
| WEB-2416 | Invoice / Jobs | When invoicing a quoted job, webWorkshop now prompts users to confirm any labour write-up or write-down via the Job Labour Reconciliation screen, matching existing desktop Orion behaviour when the Enforce Quoted Labour setting is enabled. This ensures labour variances against the quoted hours are reviewed and acknowledged before the invoice is finalised. |
| WEB-2428 | Invoice / Jobs | A new setting lets you group labour lines by section on customer-facing Invoices and Proformas, combining multiple labour entries into a single summarised line regardless of technician or category. Internal job costing and reporting are unaffected: grouping applies to the printout only. |
| WEB-2191 | Jobs | Sales Service Orders can now be searched and added to a job in webWorkshop, automatically populating the vehicle details on the internal Sales job, matching how this already works in desktop Orion. |
| WEB-2192 | Jobs | Labour lines in webWorkshop now display the technician's labour category and department, making it easy to confirm the correct rate has been selected without opening each line. Visible on the Job, Split, Estimate, and Invoice screens, and does not print on customer forms. |
| WEB-2203 | Orders | Order detail lines in webWorkshop now sort un-received items to the top by default, matching desktop Orion, so outstanding items are easy to spot. You can also re-sort by Received status as needed. |
| WEB-2231 | Quotes / Sales | Now automates Service Order creation when a quote is converted to a deal with a fitted accessory and delivery date and time. It also displays the delivery details and salesperson, and automatically notifies the workshop supplier by email. |
| WEB-2438 | Sales | The Lead Listing now shows Budget as separate From and To columns with full numeric values, replacing the rounded "K" abbreviation. Both columns sort by amount, and the Excel export outputs the exact figures as numbers ready for use without manual conversion. |
| WEB-2370 | Sales / Workshop | The Delivery Date and Time can now be added to the Sales Quote and are correctly transferred to the Deal. Workshop Orders also trigger the appropriate email notification to the workshop supplier. |
| WEB-2183 | TimeClock | Added an All Departments filter option to the Technician Posting History page, so you can view postings across every department in one view rather than filtering department by department. |
Bug Fixes
| Issue Key | Module | Description |
|---|---|---|
| WEB-2439 | Jobs / Parts | Fixed an issue where the Delete Parts Issued to Workshop Job security permission was not enforced in webWorkshop. When the permission is disabled for a user, the Delete button is now hidden and they cannot remove parts issued to a job. |
| WEB-2266 | Quotes | Resolved an issue where comments added when approving a Quote or Estimate did not appear in the Activity tab on the Customer Maintenance page. |
| WEB-2434 | Quotes | Editing a posted line on an Estimate in webWorkshop no longer produces an error. |
